GuysLikeU’s fashion fella Andrew Whitty, looks past the clothes at men’s fashion week, at the men who will be attending the shows…

We know that fashion weeks are supposed to be about the beauty of the clothes, and we’re sure that when it kicks off later this week, the London Collections: Men catwalks will be awash with some uber-desirable pieces and exciting new trends from the capital’s talented designers.
However, we have a dirty little secret; sometimes we can’t stop lusting after the guys that fill the ‘FROW’ – that’s the Front Row to those of you who don’t know. Shows like that of Topman, Burberry, Hackett and Alexander McQueen attract some big names from the worlds of sport, music and entertainment.
So, just who are you likely to spot being whisked through the crowds of wannabe bloggers and buyers? Here we list five fit fellas you’ll definitely find on the FROW. We just hope they leave enough room to squeeze us in too…

Oliver Cheshire (above)

Oliver Cheshire has been a regular at LCM ever since it kicked off back in 2012, wowing us not only with his expertly thrown together outfits but also his cheeky chappy ways! What is it about those Essex boys? It’s now wonder that he knows how to dress. As one of the business’ most successful models he’s worked with the likes of Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss and Orlebar Brown. If that wasn’t enough he’s currently dating pop strumpet Pixie Lott. Here’s hoping we don’t spot her at LCM. After a few champagnes we’re not sure we’ll be able to stop ourselves asking her how good he looks out of his designer clobber!

David Gandy (above)

David Gandy is the undisputed king of London Collections: Men. From the very beginning he’s been a champion of British menswear – both traditional and emerging – and promoted the event on a global stage. He appears at almost every show in a different ensemble, always smiling and happy to discuss what he loves about what the designers are showing. What’s more, he isn’t afraid to get his kit off as shown in his latest campaign for retail giant Marks & Spencer. All we want now is for him to make a welcome return to the catwalk…preferably in some tiny white pants.

Douglas Booth (above)

Today we know Douglas as a bona fide actor having appeared in The Riot Club, Romeo & Juliet and the BBC’s Great Expectations. However, it was some 5 years ago he got his first big break thanks to Burberry, when Creative Director Christopher Bailey cast him in the brand’s campaign – alongside fellow Brit boy done good Eddie Redmayne! What we love about Dougie is his ability to work both the casual and formal aspects of British menswear with precision and panache.

Nick Grimshaw

This will be the first LCM appearance Nick Grimshaw makes since becoming a household name thanks to his stint on that little TV talent show. What a fashion year it’s been for the DJ too! Not only has he secured the title of LCM Ambassador, he’s also collaborated on a capsule collection for Topman. The most adventurous of out five fellas when it comes to dressing, Grimmy isn’t afraid of print, pattern and colour. We can’t wait to see him brightening up the dull January days.

Lewis Hamilton

The F1 superstar has gone through somewhat of a style transformation recently. He’s said farewell to the signature tailored suits in conservative colours, and in their place welcomed a more relaxed silhouette taking inspiration from the street and trendy French labels such as Givenchy and Balmain. Lewis needs to be careful this season and reign it in a bit. Sometimes taking too big a risk in fashion can prove…hilarious! Last year after donning dark-rim specs and a rather high quiff, Twitter went into overdrive comparing the World Champion to This Morning fashion expert Gok Wan.
