So it’s out! Zayn Malik’s eagerly-anticipated debut single PILLOWTALK is finally here.
And the verdict?
Well, let’s just say it’s a slow burner. It’s a moody, sexy sounding tune that admittedly you probably won’t be able to dance to (unless it’s that kind of sex dancing you do alone in a dark, sleazy club!).
In fact, this is just the perfect kind of dirty tune to slip on in the background while you get down and really dirty with a guy!
The jagged rhythm of the percussion is urgent and sexy, while the slow build of the music crescendoes to an orgamsic musical peak that suddenly cuts off at the end, leaving you breathless and gagging for more.
Zayn’s voice is sensational, although we’re not sure if the song should have been produced in a different key as the melody in the catchy chorus sounds a little too high pitched. But these wee criticisms aside, this song is a brilliant debut effort and we can’t wait to hear more from Mind of Mine.
